Could we have a continuation of the Vanderwood/Jaehee fic? I really loved it.

After their time spent together in the hospital, Vanderwood didn’t see Jaehee again for awhile. He had to admit that he was a little disappointed. He’d enjoyed her company.

Luckily for him, the RFA had planned a party for a soon as he and Luciel had recovered enough. It was gonna be a smaller party, but that was probably best for the RFA’s return under it’s rebranded name of the Realization Fundraising Association, for the realization of a better future. To Vanderwood’s surprise, he’d been invited.

“You’re basically a member anyway.” Saeyoung had shrugged. MC had laughed and Saeran had just given him a small smile. Who knew that when he’d been assigned to the annoying redhead, he’d end up as a part of something much greater.

As much as he’d liked being a part of something, parties where he didn’t have a mission were not his forte. No matter what anyone said, “mingling” was not a real objective.

He found himself lingering on the edges of the room, awkwardly holding a glass of champagne. His eyes skimmed the crowd until he spotted Jaehee, flitting around the room.

Vanderwood made his way around the room, eyes locked on Jaehee in an attempt to not lose her in the crowd.

“Need assistance?” Vanderwood asked when he finally caught up to her. She jumped in surprise, whirling around to face him.

“Oh! Vanderwood!” She looked flustered, and fidgeted slightly with the clipboard in her hands. “You really don’t need to do that. Please, enjoy the party.”

‘Believe me when I say that I’d rather be helping you.” Vanderwood told her, and she blushed shyly.

“I could definitely use the help then.” She’d said quietly, before smiling at him. Vanderwood grinned in return, tilting his glass of champagne towards her.

“Cheers to us then.” Vanderwood offered, and the comfort the Jaehee had around him made his heart soar.

“Cheers to us.” Jaehee said with a smile.

As their investigation for Saeyoung lengthen, she and Saeran decided to decided to try and find some more evidence. There wasn’t much left unturned after the investigation team had gone through, but maybe they’d be able to find something.

They’d made their way in, the security having been turned off a while ago. Saeran was hesitant when he first walked in, but it didn’t take him long to become comfortable, smiling slightly at the different things in his brother’s home that showed his personality.

There wasn’t a lot to find, but they began to collect some of his personal items, to keep safe as they searched for him.

“Oh, look.” She said, smile on her face. Saeran looked over as she laughed. “He has a children’s book. Why doesn’t that surprise me.”

Saeran’s eyes grew wide as he saw the book she was holding. He quickly walked over, and reached for it.

“That’s one of the books we had as children.” Saeran said, starting to take it from her as he smiled. “Saeyoung taught me to read from it.”

She smiled and handed the book to him. To both of their surprise, Saeran didn’t have as good of a hold on the book as they thought he did. The book slipped through his fingers, hitting the floor.

“What’s that?” She asked. The book had landed on it’s spine, causing it to flop open and there was something stuck between it’s pages.

“It’s a floppy disk.” Saeran said softly, picking the book and disk off of the floor.

“Could it have something on it that could help?” She asked him, excitement flooding her tone. He smiled at her.

“Maybe. It wouldn’t surprise me if he kept his emergency plans on a floppy disk.” Saeran nodded, and glanced over one of Saeyoung’s computers and turned it on. He inserted the disk into it’s drive, and they both waited in anticipation.

To Saeran’s surprise, the computer instantly ran the floppy disk, folders coming open and then from their, images began to pop open.

“That’s me.” Saeran whispered. He then pointed at one where he was staring at amazement at a butterfly. “I remember when that one was taken. Rika and V had taken me outside before I had to go home from church.”

“He thought you were okay.” She said quietly. Saeran had to stop himself from touching the screen. “She lied to him.”

“He thought I was happy.” Saeran whispered, staring at his own joyous face. He couldn’t stop the tears that were suddenly pouring down his face.

She pulled him into a hug, letting him cry into shoulder. “We’ll find him.” She told him, voice firm. He nodded, and pulled away from her. There was a confidence on his face, and he spoke in confirmation.

“We will.”

I’ve been thinking about this one since I got it, and if I’m being real honest, I don’t know how handle this one the best way.

I really don’t want to step on toes, because I am almost 100% the opposite of a gay man. I’ve written for gay couples before, but that’s very different from being like bam! have some stereotypes.

I feel like this could be done well, just not by me.

I wanted to make a joke about how much I wished MC could just break into Ray’s room to comfort him during his incredibly sad phone calls. So the WIP title of this was ‘HURHUR SLUMBER PARTY TIME RAY’
But somehow it turned more into spending tons of time screwing around with color and trying to depict Saeran’s massive PTSD that seeps into literally every interaction with him poor child lol

Saeran woke to humming and a gentle hand running through his hair. For a moment, he was relaxed. MC had done this for him a few times when he’d been Ray. When he was weak.

The reminder caused him to flinch slightly, and the hand in his hair instantly disappeared. He forced his eyes open, to see her siting next to the bed he was in. She looked more nervous now than she’d ever looked at Mint Eye.

The expression looked wrong on her face, and he tried to reach out to her, only to have his arm jerked to a halt.

“What the fuck…” Saeran mumbled, He realized that his hand had been cuffed to the metal frame of the bed. He jerked at his bindings again, panic filling his chest.

“Hey, hey, hey!”She was beside him instantly, clutching his hand and preventing him from jerking anymore. “Precaution. We weren’t sure what you’d do when you woke up. If you promise to stay calm, I’ll unlock it, okay?”

He nodded at her offer, but then caught onto something she had said.

“We?” He asked her, and she looked away from him.

“Saeyoung.” She said quietly, and he felt an anger grow in his chest.

“So you just sell me out to the person I hate most? Do you hate me that much?” He demanded her.

“Look,” She said, frowning at him. “I didn’t know he was coming. I’m just as surprised as you are.”

“What the fuck happened?” Saeran growled out, clenching his fist. He could feel his nails digging into his skin.

“During the bathroom thing,” She flinched slightly at the memory. “I called Seven. You’d broken the messenger, so I figured that it wouldn’t even go through. But it did, and here we are.” She shrugged and became quiet, looking down at her hands. “I was going to die, and I wanted someone, anyone, to know.”

“You weren’t going to die. I wouldn’t have let that happen.” Saeran spat out, and she laughed softly.

“Would you have though?” She asked him. “You would have been going directly against Rika. She wants me dead.”

He was silent for a moment, but then slowly nodded. She was his. He would let the Savior do most anything else. But she. Was. His.

“Okay.” She said quietly, and there was a small smile on her face. Saeran felt a warm spot in his chest. There was a noise in the other room, and her smile was replaced with a guilty look.

“What’s with the face?” Saeran asked her, and she cringed.

“I… I know that he got us out, and I know that otherwise I was going to die, but there’s a small part of me that feels like I…” She trailed off, trying to find the word she was looking for. She sighed. “I feel like I betrayed you.”

“You still care about me enough to feel like you betrayed me.” Saeran mumbled, and she nodded. He started to speak again, but there was a knock at the door.

“MC?” Saeyoung’s voice sent a jolt of emotion through his chest, though he wasn’t sure how to define it. Anger? Fear? An odd amount of joy to hear his brother’s voice again?

“I can talk to him in the other room.” His attention was drawn back to her. She was trying to give him an out. She grinned wryly. “You don’t have to see him right now if you’re not ready.”

He looked down at his non-bound hand, realizing he was still bound. If Saeyoung was coming it, it was probably for the best. But he wasn’t going to be weak. Hiding away from his brother would show how weak he was, running away from the things that terrified him.

“It’s okay.” He mumbled. She smiled, before turning back towards the door.

“Come in.” She called out, and Saeran braced himself.

I wanted to draw Unknown for a while. His design is my favorite. The amount of roses I draw is increasing in every new fanart of Mystic Messenger lol. I wonder if it’s coincidence but black roses fit him well both in meaning and color.
